Aggrieved customer beats up the MD of Microfinance bank in Enugu.


The timely intervention of the operatives of the New Division of the Nigeria police Enugu State Police Command prevented what would have resulted in the lynching of Ubenyi Kingsley, the Managing Director of Kesley Mega Micro Finance Bank.(Pictured above)
According to a statement issued by the Command on Saturday, December 3rd, it was gathered that crowd of aggrieved customers in their hundreds were seen holding the managing Director hostage in his vehicle and given him beating of his life and also damaging his vehicle.

The aggrieved customers maintained that they are customers of the micro finance bank and that despite repeated efforts to withdraw their money in their savings account with the bank.

A meeting of customers and Mr Ubenyi was conveyed at De Dome event centre New Haven Enugu where the managing Director was trying to explain the difficulties faced by his bank over the payment of customers' money.

The explanation did not go down well with the aggrieved customers. They turned violent and descended heavily on the operator of the micro finance bank before the intervention of the police operatives.

Meanwhile, the aggrieved customers were advised by the operatives to be law abiding and take necessary lawful step on their case. Kingsley is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
